I think I probably get my love of photography from my Nan.

When I was a kid, she would visit us every week armed with a new roll of film and fresh pack of flashcubes. She’d take pictures of anything and everything and we’d review the results together the following week. Many’s the time we would end up with half a dozen “cloud” snaps as she tried to catch a plane in flight, but we also captured many, many treasured memories.

So, I’m Jo. Lover of music, movies, laughter and ice cream and i’m proud to be the Resident Photographer for the acclaimed Jam House in Birmingham. I enjoy holidays abroad but prefer to sacrifice annual sunshine getaways for “All American” adventures every few years.

Even though I’m a born and bred Brummie, I love living in the countryside, strolling along the railway track for Sunday lunch at the local or enjoying coffee and cake at our favourite spot overlooking the Malvern Hills. I love Dublin, it’s welcoming people and fantastic atmosphere….(not to mention that little rock band I’ve liked for 30 years who were the reason I discovered the city in the first place!) I love the odd cheeky JD and Coke. I love Star Wars….some more than others of course….but still love them all.

I love my family. I love my friends. I love my friends who have become like family. I love my husband……….my best friend and biggest fan.

When I decided to pursue photography, I didn’t exactly know where the journey would take me…..i’m still unsure of the final destination……but at the moment I’m enjoying the ride of my life!!

It’s pretty simple really….i love what I do and I work hard at it. Whether its capturing the ultimate love story or that first class live performance……I’m at home. I have my own style, relaxed and real.
